Chapter 1451: Chief Chadwick Neal
Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

Lauritz Hagan’s eyes brimmed with sorrow, mingled with a righteous fury and a fierce determination.

Born and bred in the vast expanse of the cosmos, he and his comrades had weathered trials unfamiliar to Braydon Neal.

In a hushed tone, he pressed on, “You were born human. In weakness, strive for the betterment of our kind. In strength, wage battles in the cosmic expanse, shaping the fate of our race. Stand sentinel, guarding our territory and ensuring our survival.

“We are human by birth, so we have no choice. Unless you have the intention to betray our kin!”

Lauritz’s words dripped with a palpable hostility, unable to fathom Braydon’s resistance.

Why did he persistently shun their offer to nurture him?

The final assertion stoked Braydon’s ire.

“I, Braydon Neal, may tread many paths in life, but betrayal of my kin is not one!

“I hail from Earth, an ancient realm in the East. In service to my homeland, I assumed the mantle of army commander in my youth, defending the frigid expanse of the northern desert for a decade!

“While my peers reveled in the embrace of familial love and paternal wisdom, the sons of the northern territory spilled blood on the battlefield. They faced death unflinchingly, unbowed in defeat!

“Do you truly think that I don’t understand your words?”

Braydon’s slender frame emanated the aura of a seasoned general.

At the tender age of ten, when Old Devil Yanagi vanished, Braydon, as the scion of the Northern Army, was thrust into the role of Army Chief.

While children of his age frolicked in blissful ignorance, Braydon endured the harsh sands of the desert, confronting the relentless onslaught of enemy armies.

How could Braydon fail to grasp the gravity of Lauritz’s words?

To insinuate that he harbored intentions of betraying the family was an accusation he couldn’t bear, even unto death.

This conviction stemmed from King Braydon’s unwavering principles.

For the sake of their homeland, the sons of the Northern Army bore the weight of condemnation, labeled executioners, tigers of the north, and accused of plotting to usurp power.

Braydon had weathered these slanders with stoic silence.

But to insinuate betrayal of their country and race crossed a line.

Since the inception of the Northern Army, there had been no traitors–no room for treachery.

Lauritz, attuned to Braydon’s emotional shifts, detected the turmoil beneath his composed facade.

Despite his efforts to suppress it, Lauritz sensed his turmoil.

Recognizing his lapse, he spoke gently, “Some causes require champions of justice. Without the courageous, our race faces certain demise.”

Yet Braydon remained steadfast, his resolve unshaken.

Lauritz and the others held no sway over him; his allegiance lay unwavering in his heart.

Their discourse was brief.

Braydon departed swiftly, without hesitation.

His home lay not among the stars, but on Earth.

Should alien invaders threaten Earth, Braydon would not stand idly by.

Before parting ways, Lauritz bestowed upon Braydon a token, a silent acknowledgment of their shared understanding.

Upon mastering it, he would wield control over the ice palace.

The volumes within the hall chronicled the myriad races of the cosmos and their exploits, offering Braydon a window into the vast expanse of the universe.

Braydon accepted the opportunity without hesitation.

As he exited, a formidable presence materialized behind him–an imposing figure clad in a black and white Daoist robe, exuding an aura of power.

The Yin Yang Holy Master had arrived.

Truth was, he had arrived long ago.

Accompanying him was a chief.

The eight great lineages of the human race in the cosmos had eight chiefs.

The first chief, shrouded in a black robe, projected an air of authority, his presence diminishing the vibrancy of the surrounding darkness.

In the silent expanse, the two eminent figures descended, their true forms veiled in mystery.

“Lauritz Hagan extends his respects to the esteemed sirs,” Lauritz greeted with a bow.

“Chadwick, what are your impressions?” inquired the Yin Yang Holy Master, turning his gaze to the black-robed Chief Chadwick Neal.

“He bears the lineage of the ten pupils; he holds the mantle of Chief,” Chadwick responded gravely.

“Braydon bears the blood of the Foremans, manifesting his first awakening of twelve wings. It is commendable.”

The Yin Yang Holy Master sighed.

The two illustrious figures had been observing him for a long time.

They possessed some insight into Braydon’s character, alleviating any concerns regarding the young prodigy’s loyalty to the race.

However, Braydon harbored a significant secret–the Hundred Tribulations Heavenly Art alone warranted caution from the eight human lineages.

“He’s still too inexperienced. It’s premature to discuss his future,” Chadwick remarked composedly.

“Throughout the ages, our race has birthed countless prodigies, many of whom met untimely ends. Speculation about their futures holds little weight until they mature.” The Yin Yang Sacred Lord concurred.

“My lord, what if Braydon declines to accompany Bilal Yarbro to the comos?” Lauritz ventured tentatively.

“It’s not his decision to make,” Chadwick asserted, his words carrying the weight of authority as the head of the eight lineages.

Lauritz dared not press further.

In the blink of an eye, the two eminent figures vanished, leaving behind a palpable tension.

Moments later, Lauritz received alarming news of a demon invasion targeting the Milky Way Empire.

“The Milky Way Empire lies in the No.788 star system, seven galaxies away from the demon realm’s border. How could they launch an attack so swiftly?”

Lauritz’s brows furrowed deeply.

Recalling Chadwick’s earlier remarks, he broke into a cold sweat.

The demons’ incursion bore the tacit approval of Chief Chadwick.

He had several galaxies to set the stage for a new battleground within the Milky Way Empire’s domain.

In this newly established theater of conflict that represented the relentless cycle of suffering, it was a grinding millstone that consumed the lives of millions each day.

“Chief” Lauritz interjected softly, “are you suggesting we compel Braydon to abandon his home planet? With the demons at his doorstep, he has little choice but to stand and fight!

“Once this star system becomes a battleground for rival races, Earth will undoubtedly suffer. Braydon must seek the protection of his own kind. Otherwise, any expert from the demon race could lay waste to Earth!” he stated, his insights astute.

Though Braydon remained stubborn, among the elite echelons of the human race in the cosmos, a single decree could alter the fate of entire galaxies–a reality unbeknownst to him.

As Braydon departed the ice palace, hosting his first encounter with a cultivator from the cosmos, a sense of peril gnawed at him.

Compared to the vast expanse of the cosmos, Earth and the Spirit Sea seemed infinitesimal–a mere drop in the cosmic ocean.

Outside the palace, the green lotus at the core of the sprawling Yin-Yang Five Elements Diagram swayed gently, firmly rooted within the Taiji Diagram.

It continued its task of absorbing the heart’s power, converting it into primordial chaos Qi–an endeavor the lotus executed flawlessly, leaving no trace behind.

How long would it take for the green lotus to mature?

Braydon could only speculate, resigned to await its fruition.

Seated cross-legged before the palace gates, he turned his focus inward, his gaze settling upon the fist-sized primordial chaos divine pill adorned with the chains of order.
