Chapter 1428: Breaking Off
Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

A clear image materialized, depicting a black ark resembling a leaf, stretching thousands of kilometers in length, traversing the dark expanse of the cosmos like a colossal beast in motion.

The image seamlessly transitioned, projecting directly into the interior of the starship’s living room.

Within the projection, a black-haired middle-aged man adorned in purple armor exuded a dignified aura as he surveyed the room.

The three soul slaves, though present, did not draw his attention.

Beckham Jovel, Issac Irwin, and Carlisle Jaynes bowed respectfully. “All the soul slaves of Hall of Souls No. 788 greet Master Bilal Yarbro!”

“You may depart,” Bilal commanded with a subtle wave of his hand, prompting the trio to leave without protest.

They understood the gravity of the situation–by alerting the individual responsible for creating the Spirit Sea, Braydon Neal’s status was elevated to one of reverence.

Turning his attention to Braydon, Bilal’s countenance softened into a gentle smile.

His gaze seemed to penetrate to the soul, a characteristic aura of seasoned experts.

Braydon nodded in acknowledgment, equally astounded by the sight of the imposing black starship.

Such a colossal craft was a marvel in itself, dwarfing any known creation within the Spirit Sea or beyond.

Bilal continued, “I am Bilal Yarbro, hailing from the Dragon River Empire, a member of the human race. The Milky Way Empire governs two galaxies, with Earth, your birth planet, situated within the Milky Way Galaxy. Among the galaxy’s vast expanse, over 100 billion planets remain barren, while 3,762 have given rise to life, all within the Milky Way Galaxy.

“However, the starry sky holds many mysteries, and even days wouldn’t suffice to unravel them all,” Bilal remarked thoughtfully.

“I, Bilal Yarbro, serve as the welcoming envoy for the Dragon River Empire, tasked with receiving Moon Corona geniuses from various nurturing grounds.

“Your battle power amplification has reached an astonishing 10,000 times, and you’ve successfully navigated the Ivory Tower’s tenth trial–that’s why I’m here,” Bilal continued, his tone gentle yet purposeful.

Bilal paused, recognizing the importance of showing respect to geniuses.

Even the mighty had to bow before exceptional talent, and super geniuses commanded even more reverence.

Braydon’s slight frown didn’t escape his notice; evidently, his knowledge extended beyond the mere amplification of battle prowess.

Observing Braydon’s composed demeanor, Bilal couldn’t help but admire his poise.

Unlike many other geniuses he’d encountered, Braydon exuded a calm confidence that resonated with the envoy.

However, Bilal would soon realize that dealing with Braydon wasn’t as straightforward as he initially thought.

“I understand you’ve delved into the forbidden devil path,” Bilal broached the subject cautiously.

“The path I’ve chosen, whether deemed demonic or evil, is mine to tread,” Braydon replied firmly, preempting any further inquiry.

As expected, Bilal fell silent for a moment before pressing on, his tone grave. “The forbidden devil path is universally condemned across all races. Practitioners face certain death. Are you determined to continue down this path?”

Braydon swiftly changed the subject. “How much longer until your arrival?”

“Based on current estimates, another four years,” Bilal replied, momentarily taken aback by the abrupt shift in topic.

“Four years will suffice. Since you abide by your own principles and I’m not threatened by them, then let’s wage war!”

With those words, Braydon turned on his heel and departed.

In his view, if mutual understanding wasn’t achievable, then even exchanging half a sentence was excessive.

Braydon’s chosen path of cultivation wouldn’t bend to accommodate outsiders.

Just as the cosmos denizens couldn’t tolerate the ancient martial arts banished immortal, they couldn’t accept Braydon’s chosen path.

If friendship wasn’t an option, then enmity was inevitable.

Regardless of his opponent’s strength, Braydon wouldn’t back down.

“Wait, hold on!” Bilal’s sudden outburst halted Braydon’s departure.

Beads of sweat formed on his forehead as he grappled with Braydon’s unexpected demeanor.

Despite the impending declaration of war, Braydon remained composed, displaying no signs of anger.

In that instant, Bilal grasped the ruthlessness beneath Braydon’s calm exterior.

Having encountered individuals of such caliber over his many years, he recognized the signs.

Furthermore, Bilal understood that the Dragon River Empire’s interest in Braydon wasn’t merely to take him away; rather, it was because the headquarters held Braydon in high regard.

The Yin Yang Holy Master himself had inquired about him.

Within the starry sky, the holy masters of the human race held a prestigious title, and the Yin Yang Holy Master ranked among the top three core figures.

As such, he wielded immense authority within the race.

Bilal realized he would likely never encounter someone of such stature again in his lifetime, not even the ruler of the Dragon River Empire.

As Braydon paused, furrowing his brow at the screen, Bilal’s thoughts raced with apprehension.

Bilal paused briefly before speaking again. “It’s the headquarters that desires your abandonment of the forbidden devil path. The Yin Yang Holy Master has taken notice of you. If you forsake the forbidden devil path, he might consider welcoming you…”

“Not interested,” Braydon cut in abruptly.

He couldn’t relinquish the path of the Myriad Path Diagram; it was intertwined with the ancient martial arts banished immortal’s legacy.

How could he possibly abandon it?

To do so would be akin to betraying a part of himself, and the human race of the cosmos held no sway over him.

“How intriguing,” another voice chimed in from the screen.

“Lord Hagan,” Bilal lowered his head in deference.

A man, manifested from a spiritual imprint, appeared on the screen, clad in a black robe embroidered with a large sun amidst a red lotus.

This was Lauritz Hagan, a human from the cosmos.

Braydon gazed at Lauritz, feeling as if his consciousness had been transported into a world of lotuses, each one in full bloom.

In the midst of these flowers stood the black-robed figure of Lauritz.

“Abandon the forbidden devil path” he urged. “You’ll secure a position among the future higher-ups of our race, benefiting your mother planet.”

As if echoed by a multitude of voices, these words seemed to sway Braydon’s resolve.

He found himself lost in contemplation, briefly entertaining thoughts of capitulation.

Suddenly, Braydon snapped back to reality, realizing that Lauritz was using his formidable mental power to manipulate his thoughts forcefully.

“Get out!” Braydon’s roar echoed, his white robes billowing in the wind as he exuded a potent aura of aggression.

The illusionary red lotus world shattered, dispelling its influence, while Braydon’s gaze turned icy as he glared at Lauritz on the screen.

With a swift motion, Braydon’s hand transformed into a blade, slashing at the mirrored surface.

The black stone shattered instantly, severing ties with Lauritz.

Clearly, Lauritz had irked Braydon by resorting to such underhanded tactics–attempting to manipulate his thoughts with powerful will.

In the boundless expanse of the universe, within the confines of the black starship, Lauritz sighed in frustration. “The little fellow seems quite incensed.”

“Lord Hagan, this child possesses remarkable resilience. In just two breaths, he managed to break free from your influence. He will undoubtedly achieve greatness in the future,” Bilal murmured softly.
