Chapter 1366: The Northern King’s Conditions

Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

“We’ve got quite the expansive territory,” Dominic Lowe remarked, a touch of bitterness in his smile. “But once the aboriginals decide to make their move, I fear the Northern King alone won’t cut it.”

“When that bronze door swings wide, we’ll have to show our strength,” Heather Sage added, her voice soft.

Dominic fell silent, the weight of their conversation settling over them.

It was clear Heather and Braydon Neal shared a bond deeper than mere friendship; they were family, with a shared understanding of the necessity of strength and dominance.

As they spoke of killing and asserting dominance, Dominic hesitated before continuing, “The Martial Emperor’s plan to open up the battlefield in the ruins… It’ll spill onto our lands, causing casualties.”

“So, the Martial Emperor wants Braydon to lead in conquering the ruins?” Heather’s brow furrowed in understanding.

Dominic nodded, acknowledging the challenge ahead.

The ruins seemed the most strategic battleground, echoing the conquests of past generations.

Before Heather could reply, a figure in white appeared – Braydon Neal himself.

“Trevon’s efforts have paid off?” Heather’s eyes sparkled with hope.

“It’s close to fruition. The heavenly path bloodline flows once more,” Braydon announced with a smile, relief evident in his eyes.

After enduring so much worry, it seemed a breakthrough was finally within reach for the couple.

Trevon proved to be diligent, sparing Braydon undue worry.

His progress with the Undying Snake Technique was remarkably smooth.

Meanwhile, the potential of the heavenly path bloodline, the Neal family’s heritage, left Braydon astounded.

Dominic remained somewhat reserved, watching as the once-young figure transformed into the world’s most formidable individual.

“Northern King!” Dominic addressed respectfully.

“I overheard your earlier discussion. Pacifying the 3,000 ruins isn’t beyond me, but I have a condition. From this day forth, the bronze doors of these ruins will fall under the Northern Army’s authority. Access in and out will be at the Northern Army’s discretion.”

Braydon laid out his terms, fueled by a longstanding vow to reclaim the ruins of South Pole Island.

With newfound strength came increased confidence; controlling the 3,000 ruins would consolidate the Northern Army’s power and resource distribution, laying the groundwork for dominance.

The prospect of restoring Hansworth’s former glory fueled Braydon’s ambitions, envisioning a future where all nations paid homage.

Dominic’s eyes widened in surprise; Braydon’s ambition surpassed his expectations.

However, he voiced a concern, “But won’t the Ten Great Empires resist?”

“Do they have any other options?”

A cold smile played on Braydon’s lips.

In this matter, only the Ten Great Empires held any semblance of challenge, yet their defiance would lead to their subjugation.

With the threat of the bronze doors at his disposal, Braydon could assert control, killing divine aborigines to assert his dominance, leaving the Ten Great Empires little choice but to acquiesce.

The potential fallout was difficult to gauge.

Dealing with aborigine divine-level figures wasn’t a simple matter, not to mention the formidable divine demon beasts and plant demons adding to the complexity.

Dominic conveyed Braydon’s intentions to Martial Emperor Yanagi, who would then negotiate with the Ten Great Empires.

A gathering convened on South Pole Island, home to the Global Martial Artist Alliance headquarters and the Imperial Palace, hosting the highest echelons of the Alliance and hundreds of esteemed figures.

At the expansive conference table, Finley Yanagi rose to address the assembly.

“I believe we all comprehend the Northern Army’s intentions. Braydon is more than capable of taking matters into his own hands. As the world’s strongest and the Global Martial Artist Alliance leader, he can effectively stop the aboriginal martial artists from entering our world.”

He paused, scanning the room. “Regarding the Northern Army taking control over the 3,000 ruins, are there any objections?”

The room fell silent as Finley’s gaze swept across the gathered elites.

Braydon had been named as the chief of the alliance.

Though it wasn’t officially acknowledged by Braydon, Finley agreed on his behalf.

With the top combat forces of all the countries in the world gathered here today, being able to obtain the position of Chief of Alliance meant that Braydon was in charge of the overall situation.

Braydon was the chief, and there were eleven Deputy Chiefs of Alliance.

The representatives from the Ten Great Empires each held a position as deputy chief.

Finley was then appointed as a deputy chief of the alliance to oversee matters in Braydon’s absence.

Once Finley concluded his remarks, a golden-haired elder of the Alpha Empire rose abruptly.

“Devil King Yanagi, the Northern King’s ambition seems excessive. If the Northern Army controls all 3,000 ruins, what of our future?” he queried, his concern echoed by others.

“Indeed,” another chimed in, “while we recognize the Northern King’s potential, monopolizing the ruins is untenable. We propose at least half be shared with the hundred nations in the alliance.”

“We can’t accept the Northern Army having sole control of the ruins!”

…

A clamor ensued, with over 90% of the attendees voicing dissent until Beckett Neal intervened with a stern rebuke, quelling the uproar.

“If you can’t accept it, then get lost!”

His rebuke silenced everyone.

The Neal family’s dominance was well-established, and Beckett’s authority, rooted in his past reign as a formidable ruler, remained unassailable.

“Do you have alternative solutions?” Finley interjected calmly, his smile faint yet confident.

The Delta Empire’s Deputy Chief of Alliance, Jaziel Sherman, expressed reservations, “Your conditions seem rather harsh.”

Jaziel, having ascended to the emperor realm, strategically voiced his concerns, concealing his vested interests within the alliance.

Another deputy chief, the third master of the Neal family, known as Lavon Faulkner, was hidden in the shadows of the Zeta Empire, adding another layer to the intricate power dynamics at play.

Lior Neal’s tone was cold. “The Zeta Empire is left with no choice. We’re all familiar with the Northern King’s character. Once he sets his conditions, there’s no room for negotiation. Besides, it’s a stroke of luck that he’s willing to act at all!”

“The Alpha Empire is on board with the Northern King’s terms,” declared Deputy Chief Haven Downing, known as the Divine General of the West.

The once-bright future now seemed uncertain.

In the west, there was a Divine General Haven Downing, while in the east, a king named Braydon Neal rose to prominence.

Two prodigies stood poised on the brink of greatness.

Braydon’s rapid ascent was awe-inspiring.

Having ascended to the emperor realm, he was able to go against divine-level figures, earning him the title of the world’s top martial artist.

The emergence of the emperor ranking, listing a hundred emperors, saw the Northern Army claiming half the spots, a testament to the potent forces hidden within the Northern Army.

Now that the Alpha Empire had also accepted the Northern King’s conditions…

“The Theta Empire also accepts the Northern King’s terms,” announced Jovon Stanton with a faint smile. “But regarding the distribution of spoils when our warriors enter the ruins?”

“The Northern Army will provide protection, taking a 30% cut of all acquired items,” Finley replied without hesitation.

Though some martial artists frowned, they ultimately acquiesced.

Historically, the 72 magnates of the South Pole had controlled the ruins, offering shelter and taking a share of the spoils ranging from 10% to 40%.
