In a Japanese izakaya under the Black Tengu Club, Ke Mingye and five other players were seated in the innermost booth, planning the Superheroes assassination plan for tonight.

“According to the intelligence, Ji Feng will meet with a group of gang members in Shinjuku Ward in one hour. We’ll intercept them halfway. The nearby surveillance cameras and phones will be disabled by signal jammers, so don’t worry about being filmed, just go ahead and do it.”

The Top Bull had a cigarette dangling from his lips as he spoke slowly.

Fan Quan said, pushing up his glasses.

A Zhe and Ju Zipi remained silent, the former quietly sipping a small drink, the latter cradling the scabbard of the Demon Sword Muramasa in his arms and sitting still.

Both preferred not to speak in such situations; they played the role of enforcers in the team, and A Zhe trusted Top Bull enough, while Ju Zipi trusted Fan Quan enough, so they typically left decisions to them.

Qing Meng, head down, fiddled with her phone, asking nonchalantly, “Anyway, I have no objections, when do we start?”

“We should head out now.” Top Bull said.

The horizon was shrouded in the dimness of dusk, with the silhouette of Mount Fuji barely visible. The massive orb of the sun slowly descended from the peak towards the earth, withdrawing the city’s splattering twilight, to be replaced by neon lights that slowly lit up like a domino effect.

At this moment, Ji Feng, dressed in a light purple kimono with his eyes covered by a black cloth, walked slowly along the neon-flickering streets.

He kept his left hand in the neckline of his kimono and carried a bag in his right hand. The bag contained seven tachi swords with only the handles visible, menacing enough to deter anyone.

Around Ji Feng were twelve bodyguards dressed in black suits and wearing sunglasses. Pedestrians covered their mouths, lifting their phones to take pictures with goofy smiles, the flash from their cameras clicking incessantly, overshadowing the off-key commercial jingles.

“What did the family say?” Ji Feng asked as he walked forward.

“They’ll be here in half an hour. We’ll wait for them in the underground bar nearby.” Amemiya Naoto answered.

Upon hearing this, Ji Feng slowly said, “Then, we’re not in a rush, just take it slow.”

“I really don’t get you big family folks.” Kawamoto Sosuke said, “Is it necessary to talk in person? Wouldn’t a text message suffice?”

Amemiya Naoto snorted coldly and said, “You don’t understand, Kawamoto. The Amemiya family pushed my brother to this position, making him a representative figure of the Superhero Association to demonstrate their power and influence to other families and consolidate their dominance in the gang world.
