“I don’t know if it is a girl or not.” Having had a son already, Fang Xiu wanted a girl too but she didn’t know if that wish would come true.

“I think it might be, you know.” Qin Xue said, laughing. She didn’t have the ability to determine gender through a pulse check, but judging by Fang Xiu’s physique, chances seemed to lean more towards a girl. If her grandfather was here, he could’ve made a gender prediction by feeling her pulse. However, as she was still learning, she could only guess, thus she couldn’t give a definite answer.

“I hope your words bring good luck.” Fang Xiu felt much better after talking about the baby. Seeing how Qin Xue’s family could celebrate Chinese New Year in such harmony made her feel slightly melancholic as no one ever called her back home for the celebration. But now that the conversation steered away, she wouldn’t have to dwell on that anymore.

“Isn’t it good that you came to my place?” Qin Xue said, smiling.

“Yes, it was the right decision to come.” Fang Xiu responded with a smile. Her visit made her understand what family was and the difference it made. She would learn to be stronger, to shower her children with love and not raise them like herself. In a way, it was miraculous that despite her circumstances, she didn’t go astray and managed to grow healthily, marry, and bear a child.

“Chu Molin, what are you whispering to the child?” Qin Xue asked curious, noticing Chu Molin whispering into their son’s ear.

“Nothing much, just asking him why he wants to sleep with his aunt.” Chu Molin responded casually.

“You guys are too much, my son is so young, yet all of you like to chat with him. He can’t even talk.” Qin Xue amusingly retorted. Her son may be a genius, but he’s not meant to be played with like this.

“Hehe, I think it’s pretty good. Isn’t it great that many love him? This way, you’re less burdened too.” Fang Xiu said after hearing Qin Xue’s comment. It’s indeed easier when someone helps to look after the child. Back when she took care of her child alone while working, she hardly had time to eat or drink when she was busy. During her leisure time, she had no earnings. Luckily, her life changed after getting to know Qin Xue.

Back then, she wished she had someone to help her take care of the child. Even if there was no business, she could do other things to earn some income. This way, she would not have to worry about not having the next meal after consuming one. Now, there were people in Qin Xue’s family who could help look after her child. This was a good sign, as Qin Xue could relax more. Despite her two children being well-behaved and rarely cried, it was still tiring for one person to watch over both of them.

“Mmm. As long as they want to help, I have no objections. They can help for as long as they want. Fang Xiu, you should go sleep. It is very late. Chu Molin, take the child upstairs so we can rest too.” Qin Xue said. She wasn’t going to stop her family from showing love to the children. If they wanted to help, so be it.
