“Stop bothering me, I want to sleep.” Qin Xue felt uncomfortable, Chu Molin kept talking. She said irritably, only feeling annoyed.

“Be a good girl, Xue’er. Take the antipyretic and then go back to sleep. I’ll hold you and keep you warm, okay?” Chu Molin coaxed his wife, speaking in a gentle voice.

“Hmm, okay.” Qin Xue responded in a daze, but she wouldn’t open her mouth to take the medicine and fell asleep again with her eyes closed.

Chu Molin pulled over a stool, placed the water on it, helped her sit up and lean against him, then he put the medicine in Qin Xue’s mouth and held the water to her lips for her to drink.

“Xue’er, open your mouth and swallow the pill with some water.” Chu Molin gently squeezed her chin, forcing her to drink water and swallow the pill. He finally understood that the fearless girl was actually afraid of medicine. He didn’t want her to eat anything she disliked, but she was sick now, and he couldn’t indulge her.

Chu Molin watched over her, spoon-fed her some water, made her swallow the pill, then he wrapped his arms around her and warmed her with his body.
