An Hao and Chu Xiaoqiao came to see Qin Xue early in the morning only to find out she was out. Both were surprised, not knowing what she was up to. But after hearing from Xue Ling that she wouldn’t be gone for long, they knew they wouldn’t have to wait in vain.

“You’re back. I thought we were going to wait for nothing today,” An Hao said, upon seeing Qin Xue return with bags of stuff.

“I did tell Xue Ling I wouldn’t be long. Why can’t you guys trust me more?” Qin Xue replied, looking at them speechlessly.

She had even bought some tasty food on her way back. Considering their attitude, maybe she shouldn’t have included their share and should just let them watch her eat.

“No, we came for breakfast, and someone disappeared early in the morning, leaving us hungry until now,” An Hao complained, looking at Qin Xue with resentment. She and Chu Xiaoqiao had brought groceries for Qin Xue to cook something delicious, but Qin Xue ran off even before they showed up.

“Are you guys for real? Or are your families so poor that you can’t afford breakfast? You come over to eat lunch and dinner, and now you want breakfast as well. What’s next, moving in?” Qin Xue asked, looking at them.

“How did you know?” An Hao and Chu Xiaoqiao asked Qin Xue in unison.

“Oh my goodness, don’t tell me it’s true,” cried Qin Xue. These two, one a pregnant woman, the other a lovely young girl, what were they up to?

“It can’t be more real,” the duo replied, nodding their heads simultaneously and pointing to the bags on the table.

“Seriously, does your family not care about you at all?” Qin Xue asked. From her understanding, these two should not be this carefree.

“No, when they heard that I was coming over, they immediately helped me pack my clothes,” Chu Xiaoqiao said, recalling what her sister-in-law had said.

“I initially planned to stay at Qiqi’s house, but I prefer to live with you. So, I didn’t go to Qiqi’s but came straight here,” An Hao said. When she mentioned the idea of staying at Xiao Qi’s place, everyone in the Lis knew how much Xiao Qi adored his sister An Hao, so they didn’t object and even Zhaozi sent her over to Chu Xiaoqiao’s place.

Zhaozi had said he would stay over at Xiao Qi’s that night. Now she was at Qin Xue’s, it would be interesting to see where he would stay. An Hao chuckled inwardly at the thought.

“So, you guys take action first and inform later, huh? Why is my place so attractive to all of you?” Qin Xue wondered. She could understand if their homes were far away, but their homes were nearby, so why this fuss?

“It’s because we like you,” An Hao and Chu Xiaoqiao said in unison, looking at each other and laughing.

“Well, I can’t argue with that. Go clean your rooms. Xiaoqiao, help An Hao with hers while An Hao helps me cook,” Qin Xue said. Considering An Hao’s pregnant condition, she thought it would be better to let her sister-in-law help.

They hadn’t had breakfast yet, right? Then she should start cooking, so she could also start teaching them how to do things earlier.

“Sure thing!” Chu Xiaoqiao beamed at the news of getting to stay over. She was worried about not completing the task assigned to her by her household – to build a good relationship with Qin Xue and take their nephews back home for a visit.

Of course, she readily agreed to clean the room. But little did they know, Qin Xue planned on giving them some tough love with a crash course in independence, thus leaving her free to do her own thing.
