“You’ve been working hard.” Chu Molin understood his wife’s words, and he was touched by the fact that she never mentioned wanting him to work less and come home more. They both knew that without a country, there would be no home.

“It’s not hard, just sometimes a bit reflective.” Qin Xue replied, stepping out of the room with a smile. Molin made the bed and cuddled up under the blanket, so that when Qin Xue came back, it would already be warm.

“Oh, how nice it is to sleep with a warm body by your side.” After washing and changing, Qin Xue barely had time to slip on her pajamas before being lured into bed. She initially intended to protest, but the warm temperatures beneath the blanket relaxed her into quiet contentment.

“There are more comfortable things.” With a strong tug, Chu Molin made Qin Xue lie flat atop his chest.

“It’s very comfortable, just a bit too hard, not soft enough,” Qin Xue complained, her face buried in his chest. She felt a sense of being pampered. It was comforting.

“If you keep this up, I won’t be able to sleep, you believe me?” Chu Molin said, gazing at the dark head buried in his chest.

“Uhm, yes.” Frightened, Qin Xue quickly closed her eyes to sleep.

“What a silly girl.” After Qin Xue had fallen asleep, Chu Molin gently moved her from his chest to his arm. They had a day planned out tomorrow, so he decided not to tease her. But it was hard for him to restrain himself around the woman he loved. Collecting his thoughts, Chu Molin went to sleep.

The next day, Chu Molin was the first to wake up. He looked at his wife who was sprawled out on him, in this sloppy sleeping position which was even worse than their two little boys’.

“Uhm, don’t move.” He tried to reposition Qin Xue so she could sleep more comfortably, but she simply wrapped her arms around him once more.

Looking at the still dark sky outside the window, Molin closed his eyes to rest, deciding to let her sleep a bit longer before he got up to exercise.

However, in her sleep, Qin Xue began gnawing on his hand. The pain made Chu Molin grimace. What weird dreams she must be having.

He gently nudged her head to the side, holding back laughter as he saw her vaguely annoyed face. She was literally nibbling on him as if he were a chicken leg.

In the end, Qin Xue cried. She was just dreaming of eating a braised pig’s trotter. How could she end up being the one devoured?

resentfully, Qin Xue stared at the well-fed man. He had chased away her dream of the pig’s trotter and had his way with her. So heartbroken.

“Want another round?” Chu Molin looked at her tear-streaked face, and asked with a glint of amusement in his eyes.

“Go away.” She kicked him, he was so smug for having taken advantage.

“Hmm, then we roll together.” Chu Molin captured her kicking foot, causing goosebumps to break out on her skin.

“Chu Molin, have mercy. We have to go out later.” Qin Xue immediately begged for mercy.

“Not rolling around?” Chu Molin eyed her and asked.

“No.” If Qin Xue was also rolling around, they probably wouldn’t be able to go out today. This man’s exceptional stamina was just too horrifying.

“Good girl. Sleep a little longer, it’s still early.” Chu Molin released her foot and sorted out the blankets before getting up to dress and start his daily workout.

Left alone in the room, Qin Xue turned over, her body feeling dull and tired. Not much later, she fell asleep again.

When Qin Xue woke up again, the sky was bright. Now she could get up and eat, as she heard footsteps outside.
