When Gong Wuyou thought about the four jars of food that were taken from him, he wanted to lash out at someone, but he knew he couldn’t.

“Chu Molin, we also want it, I still want four jars.” Fu Shuai excitedly spoke up as soon as he saw the opportunity.

“And me, I still want two jars.” Lei Xiao joined in as well.

Hearing their voices one after another, Chu Molin glanced at the three of them, wanting to nod in agreement but hesitated remembering his earlier thoughts.

As soon as the principal entered the cafeteria, he saw four of them eating together. When he passed by their table, he noticed some of the food he’d taken from Gong Wuyou. He reached out to grab a jar to check if it was the same, but someone was quicker. Seeing his empty hand, the principal looked up to see Chu Molin sealing the jar he had intended to grab.

“Molin, I just wanted to take a look.” The principal said, feeling somewhat lost. He thought Chu Molin was being too inflexible.

But was it true that Chu Molin was inflexible? Of course not. Chu Molin deliberately acted this way. He had a hunch about why the principal had taken Gong Wuyou’s food, and it was confirmed when he saw the principal staring at his jars from a distance. The principal’s intention to take his jars only confirmed his suspicion even more.

What Chu Molin couldn’t understand was why the principal had taken Gong Wuyou’s food without leaving him any.

“Principal, I didn’t want to interrupt your meal, so I thought it best that I open the jar myself. Have you all finished eating? I’m done, so I’ll be leaving now.” Chu Molin asked the other three, noticing that the principal was still eyeing his food.

“Let’s go.” Fu Shuai and Lei Xiao stood up immediately. Only Gong Wuyou glared resentfully at the principal.

“I am also done eating.” Gong Wuyou didn’t want to face the principal, who he considered as a bandit. Seeing his roommates stand up, he followed suit.

“Why are you all leaving?” The principal asked, watching as they left. He had only tasted the food he took from his nephew once before his father took it away. And he didn’t dare wrestle it back, so he only knew of its taste. The thought of that taste still left him parched and longing for more. Now that he spotted someone else with it, he couldn’t even look, let alone taste. It was a tragic fate for a principal.

After tidying their utensils, the four returned to their dorm. They had an hour and a half break at noon, so they decided to rest. The school didn’t enforce strict rules about napping like the army did, they left it to the students’ discretion.

“What’s your relationship with the principal?” Chu Molin asked Gong Wuyou, sitting next to him at his desk.

“No relationship, he’s just a bandit.” Gong Wuyou responded resentfully. Not even leaving him a bit, even a bandit leaves some soup behind.

“If you don’t tell me, there will be no more food.” Chu Molin dropped the chilling line casually.

“Chu Molin, I despise you.” Gong Wuyou said, fed up with Chu Molin’s behaviour.

“Are you sure?” Chu Molin lifted his head to glimpse at Gong Wuyou. With a blank expression, he uttered three calm words.

“Not sure.” Gong Wuyou sought help from the other two, hoping they would speak up for him. But they ignored him, busying themselves with dusting off their bed sheets and flipping through books.
