Abigail hung up the phone, and dinner was ready. Brandon Piers held Teddy in one arm and reached out to hold Abigail’s hand with the other.

Originally, Abigail wanted to refuse, but seeing Teddy’s bright eyes, she couldn’t shake it off in the end and let the man hold her hand.

As soon as Teddy heard that, he immediately extended his little hands to Aunt Claudia, without a trace of the clinging to his father he had before.

Elder Piers coughed awkwardly, realizing they had been careless.

After dinner, Abigail and Aunt Claudia left with Teddy, who nestled in Abigail’s arms, completely ignoring Brandon. Clearly, he still remembered what had happened.

Late-night kiss with sister-in-law captured.” The accompanying photo showed Adam Piers and Bertha Swift kissing, the angle making it look particularly intimate, with the two appearing inseparable.

Abigail was speechless.

As she looked further, she saw more similar posts about forbidden love, daring affairs right under Brandon’s nose, and even exaggerated claims that Bertha Swift was pregnant.

As she read the escalating gossip, Abigail responded to Lena with a big question mark.

Lena, finally seeing Abigail online, excitedly sent her a video call.

Abigail answered to see Lena’s tiny face full of excitement and schadenfreude. “Abigail, did you see that? This is the price the second young master pays for abandoning you. It’s not just a green hat, it’s practically a whole prairie on his head!”

“Cough cough…” Abigail coughed dryly. If she guessed right, this was probably one of Brandon’s schemes. He really had no shame.

Lena, seeing Abigail’s reaction, suddenly became serious. “Abigail, don’t tell me you still have feelings for that jerk. I’m telling you, going back to him is a bad idea! And you know what? People say Bertha cheated because he’s not capable.”

“Cough cough cough, what?” Abigail’s cough this time wasn’t from embarrassment but from choking on her own saliva.
