Chapter 378: Chapter 380: Battle of the Five Armies, Plague of Mad Rats (7800 words) Chapter 378: Chapter 380: Battle of the Five Armies, Plague of Mad Rats (7800 words) No one could describe the breath of the moment when the Divine Country fell from the sky and the earth collapsed.

It was as if a weak child stood in front of a cage containing a vicious beast, accidentally unlocking the cage, and then the beast burst open the iron door, appearing with its gaping maw dripping blood.

The scene was incredibly horrific and thrilling, beyond even what language could express.

A pit a thousand blades wide and two hundred blades deep appeared under the gaze of the Beastmen.

The recent collapse of the ground had directly devoured tens of thousands of Beastman Warriors nearby.

Plasma was still seeping out slowly from the rocks underground.

It was like the Land of Death from the depths of Hell.

And before everyone’s eyes, the center of the pit, the black altar connecting to the Divine Country, remained intact.

What was even more shocking was that the Vampire with outspread wings, emanating a blasphemous presence, was still hovering in mid-air.

The blasphemous language still faintly lingered in everyone’s ears.

“Plague and death were, plague and death are, plague and death will always be…”

It was as if a replay button had been hit, the phrase echoing continuously.

A sensation like a weight pressing on their chests now hovered in the hearts of every Beastman.

But this was not the focal point that captivated everyone, the Beastman Prince’s gaze was fixed upon something else–traces of the Divine Country had unexpectedly been revealed upon the shattered earth.

The massive pit below was directly connected to the core of the Evil God–the Divine Country; nine massive Space Gates formed a circular pattern guarding the black altar, allowing those outside to see into the Divine Country through the Space Gates.

Then, the next scene shattered everyone’s imagination.

The Divine Body, broken in the Divine Country, slowly drifted through the Space Gates and finally hovered beside the Vampire.

This eerie image was simultaneously displayed in the sky, the chaos and the Eye of Death had vanished, but a virtual representation appeared under the thick black clouds.

It was so pronounced that it could be seen in sync from hundreds of kilometers around.

Now, after some promotion, over 100,000 players near Risier City who saw this scene were blown away.

They could witness such a scene at this stage, and it was truly awe-inspiring.

Each second, people were logging off to share screenshots; the horrifyingly stimulating war scene satisfied these entertainment-seekers and even drew the attention of players network-wide.

The progress here affected the hearts of the players, as they saw this as a campaign mission in “Glory,” which could potentially involve the players in some historical processes.

But at this moment, nobody paid attention to the adventurers shouting ‘holy shit’ around them; the gaze of the natives was drawn to the ghostly image in the sky.

The broken Divine body’s limbs drifted apart, two arms and two legs floating away, while a headless torso moved slowly.

Although this Divine Body was the size of a normal human, the strange curvature of the body and the row of fierce spines on the back still conveyed that this Evil God was once a being beyond their comprehension.

However, what was more astonishing was not just the terrifying body; the absence of the head also piqued curiosity.

The body of the Divine seemed to contain an infinite power of the Elemental Plane; each pulse sent ripples through the surrounding space, and the rich energy emitted made everyone feel an uncontrollable fervor.

This was the power of a god! The ultimate existence in Glory!

They felt it, the fleeting power that was intoxicating.

And the critical point was… their bodies were sealed, yes, although the consciousness of the ancient Evil God had revived,
its Divine Body was still bound by the ethereal chains inscribed with Ancient Runes, and these virtually solid rune chains were definitely not something that could be undone in a moment.

At this crucial time, by the pit, an incredibly bold idea rose in the mind of the Beastman Prince Shahraram.

He was going to slay a god!!!

Thump thump~
Thump thump~
Once this insane idea took root, it grew unrestrained, like wild grass in the spring breeze.

If before, excavating the Divine relics to obtain the powers of the sealed Divines was considered indirect operation, then now it was a case of taking up the knife directly to confront the challenge head-on.

One was to pick up what was ready-made; the other required a price to be paid, a price that might be too harrowing to describe.

But from the moment he came to excavate the Divine relics, the Beastman Prince had made thorough preparations; how could it be possible that he only had one trick up his sleeve?

“All forces prepare to seize the Divine Body!! Additionally, immediately send someone to call back the Double-legged Flying Dragons and the elite Beastmen above level 10!!”

“All others, do your utmost to delay the time!”

This command was undoubtedly extremely cold-hearted.

Withdrawing forces at a time when support was already needed meant that what awaited those Beastmen would be a terrible slaughter.

But to Shahraram, this was the best decision, because for the ultimate goal, all the Beastman Warriors of Risier City were dispensable goods, without exception.

For the power of the Divines, what counted these sacrifices?!

“All Beastmen, draw your swords, follow me, Bimong, into the assault!”

With another command, the Beast Bimong, which had yet to show itself in the battle formation, suddenly emerged from the shadows of some street, its towering body more than ten blades high, exuding a chillingly violent aura.

The three-bladed long claws in its hands were Bimong’s strongest weapons, so exaggeratedly powerful they could easily rip through city walls!

Its grey-black fur was filled with a rigid visual sense, and its muscles, more intimidating than cast iron, resembled a magnified giant.

This Golden Life form was known to be comparable to giant dragons of the same level, with countless words in ancient legends used to describe their might.

Following along Bimong were over 30 warriors, each mounted on a wolf, armoured in the finest plate, wielding the sharpest longswords, and without exception, their levels were all above 15.

These were the absolute elite, painstakingly cultivated by the Beastman Prince with the resources of the Beastman Empire.

Their sole purpose was–sacrifice.

Following these level 15 warriors was a level 19 Minotaur Shaman, different from the Werewolf Shaman, who had already eerily vanished from sight,
the Minotaur Shaman’s Curse Stick was inscribed with indescribably strange runes, and the recently terror-stricken Shaman Army immediately surrounded it.

But that wasn’t enough for Shahraram, his gaze resolute, he gestured with his hand, and a corroded iron sword appeared out of thin air in his grasp.

Though rusted, the iron sword was enveloped by a presence eerily similar to that of an Evil God.

That was the power of a Divine…

“The Evil God has not fully awakened, and his body remains sealed.

Now, the adversary can only descend upon that vampire, and I shall use this weapon imbued with Divine Power to forcefully suppress the foe. Taking advantage of this opening, we must seize the Divine Body and Divine Artifact!!”

“In the name of the Warhorn of Furious Blood, attack!!”

The last sentence was nearly roared in desperation.

Wuu wuu~
Right after the Beastman Prince gave the order, the Beastman Military Governor immediately sounded the warhorn and all Beastman troops began their full assault.

But at the very moment the Beastmen prepared to act, under everyone’s shocked gaze, the vampire floating above the altar drifted to ground height, its blood-red eyes now filled with boundless gloomy energy.

Emi swung her hands fiercely, uttering words of Extreme Evil.

“o…kl…oi… Earth… heed my summoning!”

The moment the Spell was chanted in blasphemous language, the surrounding Magic Power underwent a terrifying disturbance, like the tide crashing against the shore after the sea had risen.

Rumble rumble~
Under Emi’s manipulation, the earth trembled. The ground that had sunk began to slowly rise, much like plants rapidly growing in spring.

The two hundred-blade deep pit, under the watchful eyes of those around, leveled out with the ground. The deep pit the Beastmen had been digging for nearly two years became even ground in just a handful of breaths.

However, the nine giant Space Gates did not change with the ground, still forming a circular arch around the Black Altar.

But after the altar rose to the surface, an even more envy-inducing scene appeared. Five orbs of chaotic light–Divine Artifacts–also floated out from the Space Gates, gently bobbing around him just like the body.

At this moment, Emi seemed like a King seated high upon his throne, with every move filled with an awe-inspiring Dignity that rose from the depths of one’s heart.

Along with an extreme sense of terror that seeped into one’s soul.

No one could imagine why a vampire could bear the descent of a Divine, but it no longer mattered, for everything around him was far more appealing.

Prince Shahraram’s gaze was fixed on the Divine Artifacts and the Divine Body; he wanted them all!

“Attack!!”

Just as all the Beastmen charged with frenzy and fearless ferocity, the entire sky plunged into darkness and then a voice that made one’s scalp tingle came from the nine Space Gates.

Squeak squeak~
Squeak squeak~
The next scene sent a chill down the spines of the Beastmen who were halfway through their charge.

Rats, endless and innumerable rats. No, these were not rats, these were Half-rat men with the bodies of rats and the heads of humans.

These bizarre, grotesque creatures oozing with foul stench and plague virus poured out from the Space Gates surrounding the Black Altar, like locusts.

Each Space Gate was thirty blades long and twenty blades high, but these plague-bearing Half-rat men were piled up to fifteen blades high, making all the Beastmen’s hair stand on end at this moment.

The Plague of Mad Rats broke free, like floodwaters bursting through a dam.

The reflection in the sky was a true mirror of this horrifying scene. The crowds within a hundred miles saw the earth collapse, witnessed Emi’s invocation bringing forth a surging ground, observed the Divine Body’s levitation and the majesty of the Divine Artifacts, and now, they bore witness to the apocalyptic vision of the Fierce Rats’ emergence.

These consecutive events had a massive impact on most people, even slowing their breaths.

What followed was an even more chilling sight, as after the Half-rat men emerged from the Space Gates, the blasphemous language swirling in the sky suddenly grew louder.

“Plague and Death were ancient, Plague and Death are present, Plague and Death shall be eternal.”

“He is the everlasting, He is the past, He existed in the past, He also exists this evening, He is the master of Plague and Death, He is the spreader of disease and destruction.

He is eternal, He is also the only one, He shall not die, He shall live forever, He shall also be reborn…”

That was the curse of Extreme Evil passed down from ancient times, a spell that terrified all who heard it.

Upon hearing the spell, all the Half-rat men suddenly swelled in size, their bodies which were originally one blade tall, grew to 1.7 blades, and some even to 1.8 blades, in just a few breaths…

These already dreadful Half-rat men had become nightmare creatures. Their claws bore fatal germs of deadly poison, their massive jaws were the mouths of plague and death, and every part of their bodies could kill an enemy.

At this moment, combined with that ancient blasphemous language, everyone suddenly realized, this Extreme Evil Ancient God must reign over plagues and–rats, yes, these filthy, despicable, garbage-like rats, but in the mouth of the Evil God, these scorned creatures had become everyone’s ultimate fear–the Fierce Rats.

The collision happened just a few breaths later.

The Beastmen who blew the war horns charged directly at the Fierce Rats, and the Fierce Rats, empowered by the blasphemous language, showed not a hint of fear–on their distorted humanoid faces twisted the most brutal expressions as they roared into battle.

Zila~
In the moment of the clash, blood splattered and limbs shattered.

The most elite Beastmen were there; these fierce warriors, led by the Beastman Prince, used their mighty individual strength to savagely slaughter the endless Half-rat men.

But the speed at which the Fierce Rats surged forth was more exaggerated than the Undead falling from the sky, innumerable, inexhaustible.

The thick scent of blood rose like mist, and in an instant, corpses covered the ground, the brutal battle shocking everyone in a mere moment.

Even more horrifying, the souls of these fallen warriors were pulled out and devoured by Emi upon the Black Altar.

The more intense the war, the more terrifying the aura upon Emi grew.

Things began to evolve into a situation no one could have predicted.

But not even the most terrifying scenes could deter the three armies that had already breached the walls of Risier City.

When the reflections appeared beneath the dark clouds, humans, Dwarves, and even the last-to-arrive Undead all fell into a state of extreme frenzy.

They saw it, yes, they saw the Divine Body, they saw the Divine Artifact, they saw the yet-to-fully-recover Evil God, they saw the hope to obtain precious treasures.

Duke O’Kelly, sharp-eyed like a hawk in the cavalry camp, stood out strikingly.

This lord who ruled the entire southern province had a resolve as steady as still water. After glimpsing the scene in the sky, his tone carried an unshakeable determination, a relentless advance.

“Blow the horns, the whole army attacks!!

This time at Green City, there is no room for failure!”

Beside him, the God of Nobles’ bishop fell silent; the Holy Light Pearl in his hand, once the size of a fist, had now turned pure black.

Cracks even appeared on it.

“Duke, do we really have no other choice?”

Holding on to the last sliver of hope, the bishop asked once more unwillingly.

“Bishop,” in the dawn of battle, no, from the moment His Majesty sensed the resurgence of evil, we have had no retreat.

Victory or annihilation,
no one can stop me from acquiring what I desire, even if it costs the elite of the entire South!”

The army of 200,000 was the elite that Duke O’Kelly had cultivated over many years, their weapons and equipment, their Level, all were top-notch, his treasured force in times past.

But this time, before the war even began, he had already regarded all his men as dead.

This iron-blooded Duke had an inexplicable likeness to Prince Shahraram, both formidable figures.

“Yes, Duke!!”

The northern city wall.

“Damn it, why haven’t our goat cavalry broken through the Beastman’s defense??

By the Forge God, I can already smell the Forging Hammer’s scent!!”

Nalis Copper Hammer roared furiously, “Seize the moment, for the Glory of our ancestors awaits us ahead!!

Let those Beastmen and those filthy rats taste the might of Dwarf Warhammer!!

For the Dwarves, charge!!!”

“For the Dwarves!!”

Instantly, as if infused with vigor, the Dwarves began another charge, and this time, even more incredibly, the goat cavalry leaped onto the rooftops alongside the streets of Risier City, bypassing the dense ranks of Beastman Warriors below, heading straight for the center.

Cavalry running atop roofs, perhaps aside from the Dwarves’ cavalry, one could not find a second such force in all of Glory.

Compared to the Dwarves’ cunning, the Undead’s assault was simpler and more effective.

Bone Dragons made use of their aerial advantage to clear the way, Death Knights charging directly behind the rank of Skeleton Warriors, often trampling and breaking the skeletons before they even begun to fight,
even the barriers made by Beastmen in the streets were being destroyed by the terrifying charge of Death Knights.

Fearless of pain, fearless of Death.

The Undead never extinguish.

Due to the lack of Air Force resistance against the Bone Dragons, plus the Death Knights’ heedless charge, it was the late-arriving Undead Army that advanced the fastest.

The Dwarves might have been clever, but not many could truly reach the central area, as many streets had already been destroyed, without even the rooftops remaining; they had no room to exercise their advantage.

The three armies pressed in simultaneously.

Moreover, at this critical moment, Beastman Prince Shahraram had even pulled away part of his elite forces.

This caused the already faltering Beastman Army to descend into even faster disarray; the brave Beastmen, without unified command, could only become cannon fodder.

Emi, dressed in a gray Mage’s robe, floated above the Black Altar with outstretched arms, Divine body, Divine Artifacts all floating around her.

Her blood-red pupils were now invaded by a dark energy, devoid of any fluctuation, like stagnant water, making Emi seem more like a puppet on strings, soulless.

After releasing the Mad Rats, Emi suddenly drew back her outstretched hands, then accompanied by the echoing blasphemous language in the sky, she began to carve inscriptions out of thin air.

Gray energy rippled outwards, and the mutilated bodies floating around Emi without limbs and heads began to shimmer.

The dense Ancient Runes on these shattered bodies could make anyone with a fear of clusters shiver.

Those runes exuded the same aura as the ones that had bound Chaos and the Eye of Death before, terrifying and chilling.

If Lide were here, he would immediately recognize this as the body mentioned by Emi, said to be imbued with Divine Status.

Each rune Emi etched onto the body caused another rune to burst.

This unshielded action instantly attracted everyone’s attention; Emi was now the focus of millions within a hundred kilometers of Risier City.

Perhaps she could no longer be called Emi, but should be addressed as the God of Plague and Death, the body merely a temporary vessel for It.

The real Emi had long been squeezed into an invisible space of consciousness.

Seeing this scene, all the attacking forces tensed up.

Everyone could feel that if they did not get what they wanted before the God of Plague and Death unsealed the body,
once the Ancient Evil God freed Its sealed form, everything would undergo a tremendous change.

They would have no chance of obtaining what they desired.

Both Dwarves and humans fell into their final frenzy, they each had their own reasons to fight desperately, while the Undead showed no greater stir, but just observing their placing all high-ranking Undead into battle revealed they too had made their move.

As the God of Plague and Death acted, the slaughter became even more vicious.

The horns of war resounded like the mournful cries of scavenger crows, always accompanied by the blasphemous language echoing over Risier City.

Once the Beastman Army’s elites were pulled away, they melted like snow meets boiling water, dissolving swiftly. With the three armies pushing desperately, the Beastman Army quickly collapsed, and the Dwarves had already caught a glimpse of the God of Plague and Death hovering in the air.

At this time, in the core area, Beastman Prince Shahraram had also fallen into madness.

Killing like a maniac.

Under his command, the level 19 Bimong with ten blades became a massive weapon on the battlefield.

Although the terrifying Mad Rats surged forth, this Epic beast, with its vast size and strong defenses, rampaged recklessly among the Fierce Half-Ratmen.

But what infuriated and frustrated the Bimong was that it dared not approach the nine Space Gates.

Its animal instincts warned it of a mortal danger, a warning from its soul, forcing it to evade.

Yet, to hunt for the Divine, to seize Divine Artifacts and Divine Body, one had to pass through the gaps between the Space Gates.

This put the Bimong in a vicious cycle, left only to vent its anger on the Fierce Rats.

But the good times didn’t last long. The Beastmen, originally containing the Fierce Half-Ratmen with high-level combat strength, began to struggle significantly.

As an increasing number of level 10 and higher-ranking Half-Ratmen joined the fray, the levels growing higher and higher, Shahraram felt the crisis mounting.

A greater change had to be made!

The Beastman Prince, strong as a raging bull, could no longer tolerate the current pace and furiously hurled his rusty iron sword at the Plague and Death God.

Mid-flight, as if sensing the aura of the Evil God, the iron sword violently erupted with a green glow and then, with the unstoppable force of a collapsing mountain, it thrust toward the Plague and Death God, who was etching inscriptions into thin air.

With that strike, space itself shattered.

But what shocked Prince Shahrarm was that the iron sword, imbued with the power of the Beast God, failed to overpower the Evil God before him. Upon entering the region of the Black Altar, the sword was halted midair by a powerful force.

It merely caused the actions of the Plague and Death God to slow down slightly.

However, that delay was only momentary. After being interrupted, the Plague and Death God abruptly stopped, turned its head, and its gray pupils looked toward the iron sword bursting with terrifying power.

Its mouth suddenly gaped open, and a shriek like a demon tearing at a soul rang out. The iron sword, containing infinite power, instantly burst apart.

Everyone’s soul tingled with numbness.

A terrifying surge rose in the air, carrying with it boundless might as it blasted outwards. The width of the Space Gate, initially 30 blades wide, suddenly expanded to 50 blades.

The number of Half-rat men pouring out from the Space Gate instantly surged several-fold.

And that wasn’t all. After the shrill screams resounded, the bodies of the Half-rat men swelled to a height of 2 blades and became as burly as iron towers.

The battle had undergone a tremendous reversal.

The true Plague of Mad Rats was unleashed.

The ear-splitting screeching, far from ceasing with the Plague and Death God’s renewed effort to unbind its body, continued persistently, as if carved into the very fabric of space itself.

Under the power of that persistent shriek and blasphemous language, every Half-rat man became extremely formidable.

The Beastmen, initially holding the advantage, found themselves in an immense disadvantage. Even possessing a great titan like Bimong was not enough to reverse this absolute disadvantage.

There were too many, innumerable…

The Beastmen had once held a numerical advantage, but now with nine Space Gates, each 50 blades wide, continuing to spew out fierce Half-rat men, any talk of a numerical advantage was a joke.

And if the Beastmen didn’t devise a change soon, they could soon be overwhelmed by the unleashed Fierce Rats.

The onlooking crowd fell silent at the scene. Was this the power of the Divine?

To directly enhance Half-rat men from 1 blade tall to 2 blades tall, to clash head-on with the ferocious Beastmen–such power was surely beyond the comprehension of ordinary humans.

“Concentrate our forces around me as the core!!

Leave the other positions, those damned humans and the Undead want to plunder the Divine Relics, don’t they?

Then give them the chance!!”

After his iron sword, which he had been confident could suppress the Ancient Evil God, proved ineffective, the Beastman Prince lost his originally confident demeanor.

That iron sword had once been wielded by the Beast God, and on the way there, countless sacrifices had been offered to have the Beast God seal a portion of its power within it once again.

But even such a terrifying weapon could not last even a second, the horror of the Ancient Evil God exceeded his imagination.

Yet the Divine Artifact and Divine Body were tempting him, giving him one last sliver of hope.

Having paid such a heavy price, if he did not obtain what he desired, this loss would be too grievous to accept.

Whoo-whoo~
Just a few minutes after Prince Shahraram ordered the abandonment of the siege on the Divine ruins, the sound of the human horn arose in the distance.

The humans, who had fought with all their might, finally broke through the Beastman obstruction and entered the core area of Risier City.

But what greeted them was neither wine and flowers nor divine artifacts and jewels but a group of fierce Half-Ratmen who had overwhelmed the Beastmen.

The strength of the fierce Half-Ratmen dealt a heavy blow to the human army.

But Duke O’Kelly’s will was unshakeable as human warriors, archers, knights, and even the Pegasus Cavalry circled above this area, hunting in packs.

Yet, the number of fierce Half-Ratmen seemed too vast, pouring out of the Space Gate in endless waves, relentless as the sea.

More exaggerated than the Undead–and most chillingly–with the blessing of Divine Power, the once frail Half-Ratmen had become incredibly strong.

The human warriors could only barely hold their ground.

“Damn rats! Taste dwarf axes!” shouted an angry voice as a Dwarf Army, riding stout mountain goats, charged ferociously from another side.

These heavily-armored Dwarves, covered in bloodstains, may have been through a bitter fight, yet their faith in their eyes remained unbreakable.

Following the Dwarves were the Undead, who occupied another vacant area, these beings immune to the concepts of death and pain.

A mournful roar echoed from the sky above, as Bone Dragons, flapping their damaged wings, cleared the path ahead, while the Death Knights, leading legions of Undead, collided head-on with the fierce Half-Ratmen.

The fearless faced the ferocious and cruel, both sides clashing into a blur of blood and flesh.

Beastmen, Dwarves, Undead, Humans,
Four armies converged.

For over a hundred kilometers surrounding Risier City, millions witnessed this epic scene from the reflection in the sky, and as they saw the Beastmen pressed hard by the crazed Half-Ratmen, everyone knew the final battle was about to commence.

The core zone spanning over ten kilometers of Risier City became the arena for the decisive conflict.

Victory meant mythical god-slaying; defeat portended the resurgence of an ancient evil… After an Ancient Evil Divine’s survival on the Main Plane, no one could guarantee what would happen.

Players held their breath at the sight, frantically capturing the moments.

Among the natives, some began to run in the opposite direction of Risier City to avoid the coming disaster, while others charged straight into the city, seeking to fish in troubled waters amidst grave danger.

But at this moment, outside the city that no longer held anyone’s attention,
A gargantuan figure was making a racket as it soared on its wings.

“Gah, gah, gah~ You damned Beastman spawns, Lord Withered Bones has arrived. Are you ready to be annihilated?!”

“None can breathe under the breath of Lord Withered Bones. I, the Undying King, shall become eternal…”

“Gah, gah, gah, do you feel my might? Yes, I am invincible, the invincible Lord Withered Bones…”

Accompanied by the chatter of this bothersome Bone Dragon, an incredibly vast army was advancing swiftly below.

The breaking dawn’s army arrived just before the final battle.

The battle of five armies, the endgame battle.
