Chapter 377: Chapter 379: The Battle of the Five Armies, The Return of Ancient Evil (7400 words) Chapter 377: Chapter 379: The Battle of the Five Armies, The Return of Ancient Evil (7400 words) “Unseal the shackles, and you shall receive my reward…”

“Unseal the shackles…”

“Unseal the shackles…”

Countless voices echoed like valley echoes within Emi’s mind, ceaselessly reverberating.

Had it not been for Lide forcibly infusing a surge of Power of Faith into Emi through the Bloodline just moments ago, his consciousness would’ve already sunk into the endless temptation.

Attempting to resist a Divine assault with a Level 15 body was a difficulty so horrendous it was nearly indescribable…

“One Sunshine Hour… dawn will come.”

A strong obsession allowed Emi to barely maintain the last bit of clarity in his heart amidst the endless fear, but he couldn’t hold on much longer, no one could remain indifferent under the Dignity of the Divine.

Crack–a crisp sound pierced Risier City’s skies, and several gigantic fissures in the skies outside of the city expanded even further.

Countless Withered Bone skeletons fell like gravel from the sky, dropping from a hundred-blade height.

Some Skeleton Warriors’ heads shattered upon impact, their Soul Fires dissipating; some had their bodies broken into fragments, unable to move again, already incurring significant losses before battle had even begun.

But the Undead, they never care about casualties.

Their numbers were the biggest insoluble problem…

Once a total of nine openings appeared in the sky, an indescribably large Undead army rapidly took shape.

Skeleton warriors that fell unharmed quickly stood up, then began forming regimented formations under the organization of High-level Undead.

If one were to say that humans appeared suddenly under the veil of magic, then the Undead blatantly slaughtered their way out before the Beastmen’s very eyes.

In just ten minutes, more than five ten-thousand-man army formations appeared on the ground. Even though they consisted of Level 5 to 9 Skeleton Warriors, the numbers were so considerable it was frightening.

Moreover, the holes in the sky showed no signs of stopping their discharge of Undead; at this rate, perhaps after another Sunshine Hour, there would be hundreds of thousands in the Undead army.

Roar–
After the five ten-thousand-man army formations took shape, a mournful roar sounded; watched by the Beastman Warriors defending the city, whoosh–over 30 Undead top-tier lifeforms with tattered Dragon Wings and bodies of white bone, the Bone Dragons, streamed out from the inverted openings in the sky.

These Level 15 top-tier lifeforms immediately became the protagonists of this sky.

No one could have imagined the Undead would commit such a horrifying combat force.

These were Bone Dragons, the symbolic lifeform of the Undead!

And accompanying the emergence of the Bone Dragons, even more High-level Undead began to fall from the openings.

Death Knights in heavy armor, Skeleton Archers with Bone Arrows, and even monstrous Undead composed of countless piled-up white bones, reaching seven or eight blades in height.

Monstrous Undead had bloated bodies of white bone that seemed as if their creators had stuffed all the bones they could into their bodies, creating massive spherical skeletons, exuding an unsurpassed eeriness.

After more than fifty Monstrous Undead appeared, the Undead Commander finally sounded the horn for the assault.

The mournful wail of the White Bone Horn spiraled over Risier City’s skies, reaching vastly distant locations.

The Undead, having assembled more than five ten-thousand-man army formations, began their attack.

The Undead knew no pain, had no anguish, hardly any intelligence; the will of the High-level Undead would be their direction forward.

Boom, boom, boom–the thunderous footsteps composed yet another melody.

30 Bone Dragons freely spread their Dignity across the sky, and for the Undead Empire that occupied a nation, even though Bone Dragons were top-tier lifeforms, it wasn’t too difficult to create these combat forces with their substantial resources.

Behind the ranks of the Undead army, a horrific number of over 5,000 Knights on skeletal horses patrolled the perimeter to avoid surprise attacks from other enemies.

Mixed Undead species were at the heart of the Skeleton Warriors’ formation, following the grand Undead army as they marched towards Risier City.

Skeleton Archers began to draw their bows and fire, these lifeforms that feared not death completely disregarded the dense volley of arrows raining down from the city walls. As long as their Soul Fire wasn’t struck, even if their bones were filled with arrows, they could still attack with vivacity.

Thump~
The closer they got to Risier City, the more fiercely the Undead army was attacked.

The Beastmen’s catapults recklessly expended massive stones, and each rolling boulder caused immense damage to the Undead, leaving crushed bones scattered everywhere–a truly devastating weapon.

Low-level Skeleton Warriors wore no armor, and the long swords in their hands were mostly rusted, with many Skeleton Warriors carrying bone spears and Bone Knives, exuding a sense of primal simplicity.

Despite this, the Beastmen on the city walls still felt an unbearable torment, because–the Bone Dragons had arrived.

After the Double-legged Flying Dragons were tied down by Green City’s Pegasus Army, the other city walls’ Beastman forces could no longer count on air support.

If Beastman Prince Shahrarm had been present to lead the war effort, perhaps the situation could have been alleviated, but the temptation of Divine Power was too great for anyone to resist.

As a result, when the Beastman forces were garrisoned in Risier City, Shahrarm had already treated this mighty army of over 400,000 as sacrificial pawns.

All warriors were but chips for him to gain power.

A cold-blooded Beastman King.

Under such circumstances, the Beastmen, even with the capability to resist being attacked by humans, Dwarves, and Undead combined, did not get to utilize it.

Retreat was inevitable.

Roar~
One Bone Dragon, with tattered Dragon Wings, began to gather pale blue Death Energy in its throat. As it swooped down from the sky and violently bowed its head, it released a Dragon Breath full of destruction and Death Aura, spraying out like a flamethrower.

Above the city walls, hundreds of Beastmen were swept directly by the Dragon Breath, sizzling as if boiling water had been spilled on ice. In the blink of an eye, every Beastman touched by the Dragon Breath saw their flesh rot away,
their skeletons didn’t even shed blood but decayed instantly, as if deprived of hundreds of years’ time and turned to dust.

These powerful Beastman Warriors didn’t survive to take another breath under the devouring Death Dragon Breath.

Even more frenzied Bone Dragons directly dove onto the city walls, their 16-bladed wingspan acting like sharp, lengthy knives, slaughtering mercilessly wherever they struck.

An entire area of the wall was instantly cleared.

These brief attacks from the Bone Dragons caused an unimaginable psychological pressure on the Beastmen.

Fear began to spread.

The Bone Dragons were too strong.

Even if Beastmen of the same level stepped forward to block them, they could not pose much of an obstruction to the agile Bone Dragons.

The advantage of the Air Force was showcased to the fullest in this moment.

“Siege crossbows!!”

“Aim at these filthy Undead!”

“I will kill and destroy their souls!”

The Beastman Military Governor could no longer tolerate the scene of being hit without the ability to retaliate and, roaring with rage, ordered the siege crossbows originally aimed at the Undead outside the city to turn and target a new enemy.

Huff, huff~
The Beastman Warriors grasping for breath yanked the siege crossbows with combined strength, raising the angle of fire towards the sky.

Their direction of attack switched from ground to air.

“Fire!”

Accompanied by a furious roar, the whooshing sound of the crossbows tearing through the air rose once again as bolts thicker than a wrist were launched by the powerful bowstrings.

A cold gleam struck the eye.

More than twenty siege crossbows targeted a single Bone Dragon that had been brazenly standing atop the city walls, breathing out Dragon Breath. Then, in less than a second–
Crack~ Sizzle~
These Bone Dragons, recently created, could not compare in durability to the Withered Bone that had survived tens of thousands of years. A crossbow bolt directly struck the base of a wing.

With a splatter, the Solid skeleton showed a spiderweb of cracks, and right then, a second bolt hit near the same spot.

Sizzle~ The Level 15 Bone Dragon’s formerly sturdy wing shattered with a crisp blast, shot completely through.

The Bone Dragon that had once been a mighty force was reduced in a blink of an eye to only one wing, flapping the remaining wing in a crazed attempt to take off, but incapable of flight.

But beneath the relentless aim of the siege crossbows, all struggle was futile.

Thud–an arrow pierced straight through the Bone Dragon’s eye socket into the back of its head. The enormous creature’s body stiffened abruptly, then the blue Soul Fire within swelled and blazed, even emitting a blinding light, before bursting like a balloon–fragmenting completely.

Boom, boom, boom~ With the Soul Fire vanished without a trace, the Bone Dragon’s massive body, like a collapsing statue, plummeted down from the city walls.

Roar~
The Beastmen, upon witnessing this, let out thrilled and raging howls, their morale soaring.

With the siege crossbows redirected, the arrogance of the Bone Dragons was instantly suppressed, the terrifying Undead Life no longer daring to recklessly assault the city walls.

The Beastmen secured their defensive line.

And what relieved the Beastman Military Governor was that although Undead Bone Dragons were fierce, the Skeleton Warriors that reached the base of the walls had no means of climbing up.

They lacked siege weapons.

Instead, these Skeleton Warriors became live targets for the Beastmen, with countless bones falling every second.

Woo, woo–
But the good times didn’t last long. Accompanying the Undead Commander’s sounding of the White Bone Horn, a scene that sent a chill down the spine of the Beastman Military Governor occurred.

Within the ranks of the Skeleton Army, those seven to eight blade-height Undead mixtures suddenly accelerated, charging at the city walls with a frenzied rush.

These swollen bodies, like giants fattened tenfold, undeterred by arrows, with each step trampled several Undead underfoot, and the ground seemed to tremble under their berserk rampage.

Facing the towering Solid walls, the Undead mixtures did not show the slightest sluggishness, slamming into them just like battering rams.

Then,
A ghostly blue energy flickered from the belly of the undead hybrid, and its entire body began to inflate like a balloon until, at a certain critical point, boom–
It burst violently.

A powerful shockwave swept through the area like an invisible tidal wave. Beastman Warriors on the city walls were instantly killed by the sonic wave, while the soul fires of at least a thousand Skeleton Warriors exploded.

The casualties of the Undead were nearly ten times as devastating as those of the Beastmen.

But this scene did not bring joy to the Beastman Governor. Instead, his face showed an expression of horror, because–the city wall had cracked.

Those monsters that could not be harmed by ordinary tools and could only be killed by siege crossbows and catapults–were actually being used to destroy the city wall!!!

The damage caused by these swollen Undead mixed breeds terrified every Beastman who witnessed it.

Because this was not all, there were still dozens more of the Undead hybrid kind left.

“No!! Everyone focus fire on those damned creatures!! Don’t let them get close…”

The Beastman Governor’s angry words were cut off as booms and thunderous explosions sounded once more.

Several undead hybrids charged toward the breached section of the wall again, acting like individual Alchemy Bombs–no, they were even ten times more powerful than Alchemy Bombs.

The section of the city wall under attack was blasted down by the Undead… The scene was extremely shocking.

Seeing this, other Undead hybrids that were preparing to attack other parts of the city walls immediately abandoned their original plan and charged straight toward this section of the wall.

The Beastmen had been stunned by the huge sonic wave and were unable to stop them.

Larger explosions resounded across the entire sky.

The heavens and the earth seemed to collapse.

Under the self-destruction of dozens of high-reaching Undead hybrids, the solid walls of Risier City completely collapsed, leaving a gap 50 blades long torn open.

By the time the sound of the explosions had subsided, the heart of the Beastman Governor seemed to stop beating at the sight of this.

Then the veins on his neck bulged, his face contorted, and he roared with all his strength.

“Hold the breach!!!”

More than ten nearby Beastman Governors issued the same insane cry–they knew that if the city walls fell, the Beastmen would absolutely not be able to withstand the enemy’s attack, because it was the Undead outside the walls.

Those fearless entities that did not know fear or pain–living incarnations of everyone’s nightmares.

The Beastmen, their ears buzzing from the violent roar of the explosions, were now all enraged.

Regaining their senses, they viciously rushed to plug the breach. Their flesh and blood were to build the wall anew.

If the Undead breached the city, they would all die! Those damned Demons would not spare any life that had a beating heart.

“Kill!”

“Roar!”

“Charge!!”

An even more brutal war erupted. This was not the previous exchange of arrows; it was a bloody melee of flesh against flesh.

The Undead, who had just suffered more losses than the Beastmen, didn’t take it seriously at all. Nine holes in the sky continued to pour out Undead like gravel, endlessly sending more to the battlefield, with seemingly no chance of stopping.

The Skeleton Army surged forth like a tide under the cover of the Bone Dragon.

In a brief span of time, they reached the collapsed city walls, where they were greeted by the bloody cleavers of the Beastman Warriors.

A Beastman Warrior clad in human armor, wielding a long blade, roared in anger as he stood at the forefront of all Beastman Soldiers. His muscles bulged, his eyes blood-red with rage. After going Berserk, he was like a sharp blade clashing head-on with the oncoming wave of Undead.

Zing~
With a flash of his blade, his formidable Level 16 battle prowess turned the countless Undead into a scatter of shattered bone remnants.

After going Berserk, the Beastman Warrior was unmatched in bravery.

But other Beastman were not as lucky. A Level 10 Undead was bisected vertically by the weapon of a Beastman in front of it during the clash,
yet this Undead, paying no heed, brandished its rusted long blade with a deadly whoosh, striking the Beastman’s neck and causing blood to spurt several blades’ height.

The fierce eyes of the Beastman flashed with reluctance, but he was powerless to resist any longer, collapsing to his death.

After this Beastman fell, the Undead, dragging its broken body, charged straight at the next Beastman.

As long as the heads of the Undead were not damaged, as long as they could still move, these frightening lives would continue to assault.

Though the combat strength of individual Undead was not strong, their disregard for death placed immense pressure on the frontline-resisting Beastman, as if a mountain was pressing on their chests.

This 50-blade wide section of collapsed city wall became a bloody meat grinder, with bodies rapidly piling up.

Meanwhile, as the Undead breached into Risier City, the northern walls faced their greatest enemy–the Dwarf Goat Cavalry.

Once the Dwarven catapults irresponsibly bombarded the city walls, leaving the walls pocked with holes of various sizes,
the mountainous cavalry, braving the Beastman arrows, began their charge.

The sight of over twenty thousand goat cavalry charging the walls could shake one’s soul to its core.

Boom, boom, boom~ the hooves pounded the earth, and the grasslands emitted a deafening roar, even the towering city walls of Risier City trembled.

The Beastman of Risier City could not even muster an effective response before the goat cavalry was upon the walls.

“Shoot!! Shoot quickly!! Stop those damned goats!!”

Like the rage of the impotent, the Beastman Military Governor’s fear-tinged roar became a backdrop to the saga of the goat cavalry.

The Beastman Archers, aside from drawing their bowstrings more vigorously, seemed to find no better way to respond.

But arrows were never going to suppress the Dwarves.

As the first wave of goat cavalry reached the base of the wall with a thunderous momentum, they suddenly sprang up under the horrified gaze of the Beastman, then the goats climbed straight towards the top of the wall, footholds formed by the holes created by the catapult attacks.

Agility unparalleled.

The scene now appeared as if taken from a church mural depicting Ancient myths, filled with fantasy and unspeakable grandeur.

In just a few breaths, Risier City’s towering walls were already swarming with the goat cavalry.

In their efforts, the Beastmen shot arrows and hurled stones, but compared to the fierce Dwarven Goat Cavalry clad in solid armor that protected their entire body, they could hardly scratch the surface.

Although they could hunt down a few, many more still charged forward.

The first of the mountain cavalry charged up the city walls after several rounds of arrows, with the Dwarf atop the mighty goat bellowing ferociously.

“Damn Beastman brats, taste the Dwarf’s battle axe!!”

As the words fell, the goat beneath him leaped high, landing squarely in a gap among the Beastmen, then bowed its head, exposing its massive curved horns, thicker than an adult’s thigh by three parts.

Stomp, stomp–the mighty male goat pawed the ground twice before bursting forth with its greatest strength in a forward charge.

The scene became almost unbelievable as the Goat Cavalry charged among the crowds atop the city walls!

The terrifying impact of their charge was magnified on top of the city walls; the densely packed Beastman Warriors, though immensely strong, were plowed through as if tilling the earth, splitting the masses apart.

Beastmen were squeezed off the city walls, unable to resist.

This stretch of the city wall became chaotic due to the charge of a single member of the Goat Cavalry.

Seizing this brief moment, the second, then the third, an unending stream of Goat Cavalry surged onto the city walls of Risier City.

Even though a ring of the cavalry’s corpses had already piled up at the base of the wall, and the Dwarf casualties were devastating, they had successfully made it to the top.

Cavalry held a significant innate advantage over infantry, which was hard to overcome.

Once they made it to the wall, these Dwarves harboring a steadfast belief in the Divine Artifacts fought with a fierceness that the makeshift resisting Beastmen couldn’t hope to match.

They swept through.

When the number of Goat Cavalry atop the city walls surpassed 1,000, the battle’s victor for the defense of the walls was declared.

The entire process could only be described as a brutal slaughter; the tall Beastman Warriors couldn’t even mount an effective resistance against the encircling Goat Cavalry.

After taking the city walls, the Cavalry’s influence rapidly spread around, and in a brief period, they seized the city gates. Once the gates were flung open, the Dwarf army streamed inside.

Just like the Undead and humans, the Dwarves began to engage in close-quarters combat with the Beastman army, entering into the most brutal form of street fighting.

Carnage spread; the scythe of the Death God recklessly harvested every soul that fell in battle at that moment.

Undead, humans, Beastmen–all three armies had now penetrated into Risier City.

Though the Beastmen had a massive army of 400,000, they began to falter under the siege of the three forces; none of the participating troops were easy targets.

Elite humans, tenacious Dwarves, the fearlessness of the Undead–the Beastmen were starting to crumble.

Rumble, rumble–
Just as the Dwarves were making headway, silver dragons danced in the sky, lightning striking like the divine punishment of annihilation.

A breath indescribably terrifying permeated everyone’s heart, causing the soldiers engaged in fierce combat below to slow their actions.

That orb, suspended beneath the thick black clouds, filled with endless darkness, Chaos, and the Eye of Death, opened abruptly after the killing below reached a critical point.

Yes, that eye, brimming with boundless terror, hadn’t been open until now. At this moment, that eye truly opened.

No one could describe the color of that eye; it was a synonym for Death, destruction, annihilation, slaughter, darkness, brutality–the physical manifestation of all negative descriptors.

Heaven and Earth changed hues, and all things turned into delusions.

An infinite aura of Extreme Evil began to envelop the earth, and the ancient Evil was resurrecting; the souls of the fallen were being yanked by unseen colossal hands, being devoured by that eye filled with destruction in an unstoppable manner.

Great terror descended!

Central area.

Hundreds of Beastman Shamans watched with ashen faces as Emi stood above the pure black altar; all of them were horrified to the extreme.

Because from that damned Vampire, emanated an indisputable aura of terror.

It was so Evil, so frightening, so… despairing!

The Evil God, it was that sealed Evil God, it was the one that represented all the sins of the world!

But now, no one could stop it!

They had already exhausted all their strength just maintaining their current state under the power of the Evil God; even a few apprentices were now kneeling in fear, worshipping the living God before them.

Boom–
Emi unfurled her bat wings, her pale face taking on a grey hue, decaying and dark, as she vigorously raised her hands towards the sky.

“I, have returned!!”

The blasphemous language of the Ancient echoed through the heavens, filled with a fear that made one’s hair stand on end, a declaration to the Divine, a provocation to the whole world.

In that moment when the Eye of Chaos and Death opened and gazed at Emi,
An indescribable powerful aura emerged; it was the revival of the Ancient, it was the awakening of the utmost evil from between heaven and earth.

The sky, changed.

The heavy clouds above seemed to be stirred by a colossal hand, whirling madly around the Eye of Chaos and Death.

Everything around it was like the Abyss breaking apart!

And with it, the Rune Chains that trapped the Eye of Chaos and Death began to explode at the rate of one per breath.

This terrifying and bizarre existence was about to break free.

Those around Risier City, both players and natives, felt a chill down their spines upon witnessing this scenario, as if they were witnessing an epic event that could change the glory of history.

With the opening of the Eye of Chaos and Death, the five Divine Artifacts floating beside it began to emit an increasingly intense aura, to the point where everyone could see the true form of the artifacts through the shadows.

Terror accompanied by temptation.

At that moment, Emi’s consciousness had sunk and drowned in the boundless power; the moment he stepped onto the pitch-black altar, an indescriptible powerful force surged into his body.

Divine Power, that was the power of the Divine!

But this did not excite him; instead, a nameless fear rose in his heart.

His worst fear was upon him, the ancient Evil God couldn’t wait to descend; it couldn’t even wait half a day.

Endless power filled every corner of his body.

The space around him trembled at this moment.

And his control over his body plummeted to a freezing point; after the opening of the Eye of Chaos and Death in the sky, everything changed.

In that instant, he felt an extremely evil aura take over his body, and then he completely lost control of his body; he could only watch as a passive observer the actions of this terrifying outsider.

The Evil God had now fully taken over his body!!

“Sire, I no longer have the strength to delay even one day…”

Crack–
At the very moment Emi felt the consciousness of the Evil God take over his body,
The sky beneath the thick black clouds suddenly cracked like a spider web, as if shattering like a mirror.

Then, within a hundred kilometers of Risier City, everyone could witness the emergence of a Sky Country.

It was a realm filled with the aura of Death, through the semi-transparent space you could clearly see the inside; scorched land with countless precious minerals laid out, various precious weapons, Magic Scrolls, armors…

And there, you could even see the corpses of the Divine, yes, corpses; broken limbs, headless bodies, with endless grey power swirling around, the surrounding space was twisted.

That was a power only the Divine could wield.

Although this Divine Country was filled with a chilling aura, those who witnessed it fell into madness.

Divine Country!!!!

This was the Divine Country of the Evil God, and moreover, the Evil God was really dead, no – had been dead. Even if it was now revived, how much combat power could it retain without a body?

Greed devoured every person who saw this scene.

The world’s most terrifying emotion isn’t fear, but the desire inside one’s heart; that is the ultimate existence, inescapable.

And with the appearance of the Divine Country, a phrase of the utmost evil that has echoed from the Ancient times began to reverberate in the sky, terrifying, creepy, and frightful – that blasphemous language filled with all imaginable evils of the world.

“Plague and Death were, Plague and Death are, Plague and Death shall forever be.”

“He is everlasting, He is from the past, He exists in the past, and He exists now, He is the lord of plague and Death, the spreader of sickness and destruction.

He is everlasting, and He is the one; He shall not perish, He shall live eternally, and He shall be reborn…”
Every tone was like an explosion in the soul, and all within hundreds of kilometers dimmed under that horrifying power.

Fear spread.

Boom–
An even more shocking scene took place; with the rise of the phrase of utmost evil, the Divine Country imprisoned in the sky abruptly plummeted down.

The Beastmen in the central area were engulfed by an indescribable force, and then the semi-transparent Divine Country violently crashed into the ground.

Boom–
The earth split apart, and the sky collapsed.

Like a magnitude twelve earthquake, the center of Risier City where the black altar was situated, simply exploded and collapsed.

Dirt splattered, and dust obscured the entire sky.

The Beastman Prince could only lead the people around him in a frantic evacuation, but when the dust settled ever so slightly.

The scene before them made the eyes of the surrounding Beastmen widen, their breaths sharply quickened.
