Chapter 472: Chapter 361 Remnants of the All Beast Church

Outside of Bright City, in the territory of Baron Tony.

The town situated atop the small hill remained unchanged from Lis’s last visit, with low stone houses encircling Baron Tony’s deep grey castle. Children played in the shade to escape the fiery summer sun, or cooled off in the stream at the foot of the hill.

Meanwhile, the subjects of Baron Tony were busy in the vineyards on the surrounding hills. Vibrant green grape leaves sprawled along purplish-red vines under the sunlight, with tiny white-green grape blossoms hidden amongst the foliage, embodying the people’s hopes for a bountiful harvest.

Not far from Baron Tony’s domain, on the crest of a hill, space twisted and a figure appeared, then blended seamlessly into the surroundings, becoming one with the environment.

The newcomer was none other than Lis, who had rushed over specifically for this visit.

Having used an “Invisibility Technique” to conceal his form, Lis took a glance at the familiar town and castle and nodded slightly to himself.

This time, Lis hadn’t set up a spatial coordinate in advance for his teleportation but had instead reached this place using a “Teleportation Technique” based on spatial sense.

It was an experiment for him, and he had been prepared for a potential deviation from the target. But to his surprise, the result was quite good, with hardly any deviation at all.

While the All Beast Church might not be the strongest faction within the Evil God Church, compared to other organizations that worshipped the Evil God, it was still a colossal entity for Lis.

Lis’s teacher, the “Judgement Flame,” might not care about the All Beast Church, but Lis had to consider the possibility of their retaliation.

After encountering several followers of the All Beast Church, Lis realized that the negative status on him strongly attracted the All Beast Church.

This meant that Lis didn’t need to think about reconciling with the All Beast Church–as he was already locked in as an arch-enemy.

Of course, Lis had never considered yielding to the All Beast Church. He was known for not holding back his punches.

Lis was confident about this. He had killed so many members of the All Beast Church, and he did not believe they could simply bear it.

Even with his teacher being the “Judgement Flame,” it wouldn’t matter. If they were sane, they wouldn’t believe in the Lord of Ten Thousand Beasts from the chaotic camp.

If the All Beast Church kept causing trouble after Lis was enfeoffed with a domain on the Luou Peninsula, it would be truly bothersome.

By then, any damaged property would belong to Lis, and he had no intention of paying such a hefty price for the All Beast Church.

Hence, Lis needed to prepare in advance, collecting intelligence on the All Beast Church and ideally striking first.

Lis looked toward the nearby castle, for he had come to clarify a doubt he had left unchecked before.

Lis remembered following Taya’s mercenary squad to Baron Tony’s Territory on a mission to deal with a Moon Spirit Leopard.

There was nothing much to say about the process, except Lis was curious why a Magic Beast like the Moon Spirit Leopard, which lived in the Elf Great Forest in the south, would appear deep within the Human Kingdom.

Especially considering that the Feis Kingdom is actually in the northern regions of the Fanor Continent.

At the time, signs of captivity were found on the Moon Spirit Leopard, indicating human interference. Yet, Lis wondered why anyone would choose to capture a Moon Spirit Leopard.

Lis noted this as it is known that Magic Beasts like the Moon Spirit Leopard are difficult to tame and are even considered taboo by the Elf Clan. It’s hard to imagine who would attempt to capture one.

Lis jotted down this incident, but later events in Bright City were so numerous that he forgot about it.

While contemplating related matters of the All Beast Church, Lis recalled this incident and noticed something he had overlooked before.

During the “Blood Sacrifice Chaos,” among the magic beasts released by the All Beast Church were some Moon Spirit Leopards.

If the Moon Spirit Leopard that appeared in Baron Tony’s Territory had escaped from the All Beast Church, that would be interesting.

It wasn’t clear whether Baron Tony had any connection to the All Beast Church, but at least, while moving those magic beasts, they had stayed in Baron Tony’s Domain.

If that was the case, it indicated that among the nobles of Bright City, there could very well be collaborators with the All Beast Church, or even a follower of the Lord of Ten Thousand Beasts.

With this in mind, Lis had Mora assist in gathering some recent intelligence while he personally visited Baron Tony’s Territory to conduct an investigation.

Standing on the hill not far from the castle, Lis’s gaze was indifferent. His imposing and majestic spiritual power spread from his body to the small town and castle before him.

Having ascended to Gold Level, Lis’s spiritual power had also greatly enhanced, making the exploration of the town before him not much of a challenge.
