Chapter 322: Chapter 289: Some Strange Druids_2

They would even escalate contradictions into disputes with others, sometimes fighting hand to hand, not hesitating to kill their opponents.

There was no reasoning with them, as they would always steadfastly hold onto their so-called truths and ideas.

Of course, most Druids were not like that; they believed everyone was part of nature, with humans eating meat and animals eating plants, all part of the natural cycle.

They would maintain the cycle of nature instead of merely protecting one side of it.

However, when certain individuals recklessly destroyed forests and hunted wild beasts, potentially disturbing the local balance of nature, the Druids would coldly chop off the heads of their enemies like executioners.

It seemed that Isidore, the Druid in front of him, belonged to the more peaceful kind.

After eating a roasted Bear Paw, the chill in his body had completely dissipated; good food always brought new strength.

Isidore, sitting next to him, had also finished his roasted Bear Paw, patting his belly with a satisfied expression on his face.

“So delicious!”

“It really saved my life, I couldn’t stand eating grass anymore.”

Eating grass…

Lis glanced at the Druid, his eyes filled with curiosity.

How could a Druid of at least Gold Level strength end up in a situation where he could only eat grass?

However, Lis didn’t ask further; meddling could only bring trouble.

Focused on training himself, Lis didn’t want to start any side quests right now.

“Thank you very much, I need to continue on my way.”

Isidore stood up, brushed the dust off his clothes, and said with a smile.

“Indeed, may the Lord of Dawn favor you.”

Lis didn’t get up, merely waving his hand.

Watching Druid Isidore leave the cave, Lis finally withdrew his gaze.

This Isidore was quite mysterious, his demeanor exceptional, exuding a natural and unforced charm.

He must be facing some trouble now; otherwise, he wouldn’t be venturing alone into the Northern lands.

It was well known that Druids disliked the winters of the North.

It seemed Isidore was avoiding someone, but it wasn’t a big trouble for him.

The fact that he was not injured was telling.

And he was rational too, leaving immediately after the meal without lingering, presumably not wanting to involve Lis as well.

Lis wondered which deity Isidore worshipped?

Lis was curious, but that was all.

He had no intention of keeping Isidore around.

———-

Several days later, among the icy mountains.

Whoosh~

A white figure streaked across the sky, landing on a nearby peak, stirring up a flurry of snowflakes.

The weather was good today, with a bit of sunshine peeking through the clouds.

The sunlight shone on the snow-white scales of the figure, even giving them a slightly radiant shimmer.

Its robust and large body stood atop the snow peak, almost exuding a sacred aura.

This was clearly a White Dragon!

From a dark spot below the peak, Lis hid, his eyes fixed intently on the White Dragon atop the mountain.

This was his new hunting target and a chance to test the results of his recent training.

The White Dragon was still a juvenile, apparently not long separated from the protection of an adult White Dragon.

White Dragons, as part of the cold-loving Five-Colored Dragon, had the weakest strength for their age among True Dragons.

Known as the “disgrace of the Dragon Clan” was no misnomer.

Whether Metallic Dragons or Five-Colored Dragons, they usually had Gold High Order strength when they reached adulthood.

When their strength broke through to become Ancient Dragons, they reached Legendary status.

Yet, even as an Ancient Dragon, a White Dragon fell just short of Legendary status.

And that difference was as significant as heaven and earth.

Similarly, White Dragon’s strength was the weakest among the True Dragons of the same rank.

Apart from the Cold Ice Dragon Breath, he had no special abilities and could only rely on his physique and Inheritance Magic to fight opponents weaker than him.

However, despite this, the White Dragon was still a True Dragon, too formidable for ordinary people to successfully defeat.

During his travels in the past few days, Lis had observed this White Dragon soaring in the sky and realized that its strength was not very powerful yet, not having broken through to the Golden Rank, and so he pursued it.

Although the strength of the giant dragon was formidable, at the same time, they were treasures all over.

Dragon Scales were among the finest materials for armor.

Dragon Horns, Dragon Teeth, and Dragon Bones were not only incredibly sharp and solid materials, but they also possessed magical properties, making them crucial Magic Materials.

Dragon Blood and Dragon Meat went without saying.

Bathing in Dragon Blood was considered synonymous with being a formidable warrior.

Moreover, giant dragons particularly liked to collect gemstones, Gold Coins, and Magic Items as their treasures, preferring to sleep on beds of gold and gemstones.

These all held immense value!

Thus, every giant dragon represented a treasure trove, making them one of the ultimate conquest targets for all adventurers.

Because of this, True Dragons without the protection of elder Dragon Clan members faced constant hunts by ambitious figures during their growth.

If the giant dragons did not live in secluded places and naturally possess the ability to fly, they would hardly escape being hunted by other races.

Even so, for a giant dragon to survive its growth phase and become an adult dragon or even an Ancient Dragon was quite difficult.

Although there were many White Dragons living in the North, Lis was quite fortunate to have encountered this juvenile White Dragon.

Lis had been observing this White Dragon for two days.

Being a juvenile dragon in his growth phase, he required a significant amount of food.

Without a mother’s protection and having left his mother’s territory, the White Dragon had to struggle all by himself.

Using combat skills he was not very familiar with to hunt Magic Beasts for food.

Lis noticed that while this little White Dragon’s combat skills were still crude, he mostly relied on his flying ability and stronger physique compared to other Magic Beasts to ambush them from the sky.

Even so, he could barely meet his daily needs.

However, Lis also noticed that this juvenile White Dragon’s combat skills were improving rapidly, seemingly benefiting from the struggle to survive, making his progress quite noticeable.

Of course, compared to the Dragon Clan’s long life span, it still left much to be desired by Lis’s standards.

Now that he had made up his mind and had prepared enough early reconnaissance, Lis no longer delayed, slowly moving towards the abandoned nest at the peak of the mountain.

…

White Dragon Tobias was quite frustrated.

Just a few days earlier, his mother had driven him and his siblings out of the Dragon Nest, forcing them to fend for themselves.

Together with him were expelled a brother and sister.

However, Tobias refused their proposal to temporarily live together.

As the strongest among his siblings, and since even his brother could not beat him, there was no reason to take on these liabilities.

Tobias could not think further, as gathering the food before him had already taken great effort, let alone sharing it with others, which he was unwilling to do.

Even so, he still missed his mother’s empty nest.

While his mother, the adult White Dragon, was not very competent, providing not much hunted food for her offspring, it was all High-level Magical Beasts, all rich in Magic power, such as Ice Storm Bears, Snow Wolves, and the like.

It was the most suitable for his growth and also the most delicious!

At present, he dared not provoke such beings.

Just after leaving the Dragon Nest, Tobias confidently found a pack of Snow Wolves, hoping to hunt them as easily as his mother had.

Instead, he was beaten by the Ice Blade Group of the pack of Snow Wolves and forced to flee in panic.

Had he not been able to fly, he would have ended up as a feast for the Snow Wolves.

Looking at the moose in front of him, disdain flickered in the White Dragon’s delicate eyes.

This was a Bronze Level juvenile beast, and it had still taken him a long time to find it.

In winter, even a flying White Dragon found it tough to locate camouflaged Magical Beasts in the snowy fields.

This was far inferior to bear meat!

Dissatisfied in his heart, Tobias, driven by hunger, still tore and ate the venison bite by bite.

His Cold Ice Dragon Breath was sprayed on the venison beforehand, making it more to his liking.

Just as this little White Dragon hid in his nest full of ice, enjoying this hard-earned dinner,

shadows in his den writhed, and a dagger flashing with deep gray light suddenly appeared, fiercely stabbing into the belly of the White Dragon.

Bright red blood spattered!

A painful dragon cry echoed through the entire mountain!
