“Xia Zhe is already investigating all these,” Xia Wen said.

“Where?” Qiao Mei asked in a trembling voice.

“Two… buckets filled with cement in a place outside the suburbs. We only found two dismembered corpses. The DNA tests confirmed that one of them was the nurse,” Xia Zhe said.

Qiao Mei’s stomach churned. She crouched at one side and retched for a long time. Xia Zhe quickly brought some warm water so that she could rinse her mouth. She did not feel unwell. Rather, it was because she felt a chill run down her spine. The mastermind was so decisive and had dealt with the people involved so quickly and in such a cruel manner.

In that case, the child is still in their hands… Is the child still alive?

“Among… among the body parts…” Qiao Mei looked at Xia Zhe in a daze, scared to hear the answer from his mouth.

Xia Zhe immediately hugged Qiao Mei and said, “There’s no trace of the child. It’s just those two people.”
